The Legend of Boggy Creek is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, despite its subject. “An early 1970’s docudrama about a Sasquatch-type creature that terrorized the small town of Fouke, Arkansas for several years,” it’s a movie trapped between two genres – documentary and monster movie – and it never achieves credibility as either.

Despite the fact that many of the characters are portrayed by their real-life counterparts, nothing about the movie is convincing, and none of it makes a lick of sense.

Meeting With a Hick – I didn’t make up that title. Sorry about the cruddy overlay on the video. I had to include this because it features perhaps the greatest voice-over line in movie history: “Herb limps, because he once accidentally shot part of his foot away in a boating accident.”

Bathroom Scene – This might be the best part of the movie. Seriously.
