Here’s one I had never heard of before it popped up on a Google News Alert: The Honey Island Swamp Monster.
It’s a “monster” from the swamps of Louisiana that’s reportedly at least seven feet tall, bipedal and covered in fur. The face, however, is hairless, and “resembles a man['s].”

The Legend of Boggy Creek is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, despite its subject. “An early 1970’s docudrama about a Sasquatch-type creature that terrorized the small town of Fouke, Arkansas for several years,” it’s a movie trapped between two genres – documentary and monster movie – and it never achieves credibility as either.
