Barbara Blanchfield was snapping some pictures near a reservoir in West Hartford, Connecticut when she saw something in the water she couldn’t explain:
The photos she took depict something just below the surface of the water that appears to have spikes.
“When I saw the tail part of it, which looked ancient the way the spikes are, I just said, “Oh my God, I think I got something here,” she said.
Local officials were unable to immediately identify what it was, but considering the pics provide no way to determine size or how or if this thing was moving on its own, that’s not surprising. Could be a log… could be an alligator… could be a C.H.U.D.
