I’ve been holding off on commenting about this story, but a new video on Youtube has popped up, and I wanted to share it along with my impressions.
First, a little background:
Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer of Georgia recently burst onto the scene, calling themselves “Bigfoot Tracker Atlanta” (as well as “the best bigfoot trackers in the world”) and claiming to have found a bigfoot corpse in the woods. According to them, they dragged it several miles through the woods over the course of a day or two from the deep woods to their truck, brought it back to their headquarters (or wherever) and placed it in a freezer.
They have been pretty secretive about the supposed find, refusing to reveal many details, but promising to unveil it on September 1.
The reason for the secrecy? Whitton and Dyer claim that there are legal issues they need to resolve before they can present the body for testing or viewing.
Here’s the latest video these men have released (keep in mind that they have posted then pulled a few videos, so this may or may not last long):
Now, I don’t have a problems with “some folks with military and law enforcement backgrounds from north Georgia” making such a discovery, but what possible legal issues could be involved in this find? Are they serious enough to keep what would rightfully be one of the greatest scientific discoveries of the past few centuries under wraps?
I guess we’ll find out on September 1. Unless in the meantime the body somehow disappears or is taken by a shadowy government agent or is consumed in a tragic fire.
My money’s on the fire option, but who knows? These guys seem pretty creative.
