“Monster,” “Hell Beast” and “Dog” were all being thrown around as possible identities of the thing that wound up decomposing on a Long Island beach.

 

But it looks like a consensus has been reached as to what, exactly, that thing is… The answer, after the jump.

Yeah. It’s a raccoon.
